We support educational, cultural and welfare initiatives.

Fundación Hispánica was born with the aim of addressing the needs of individuals, supporting their educational, cultural, and social initiatives, and promoting Hispanic history, language, and culture.

Fundación Hispánica was the first foundation created in the context of the Beatriz Building and was the outcome of the altruistic initiative of Luis Valls.

Fundación Hispánica was created as the non-profit entity through which Banco Popular was to channel its social action; Banco Popular was, among others, the provider of funds to carry out this task. Since 2017, the Foundation has continued its path alone while remaining faithful to the values of its founder, which are effectiveness, transparency, and a desire to help.

ORIGEN

Professionalizing Help

In 1970, when Banco Popular had already been engaged in social action in various ways for almost twenty years, Luis Valls decided to establish the first non-profit entity, in order to respond to the requests for aid which reached the Bank on an almost daily basis. The activity of the foundation continues today with an identical mission and vision for which it was created.

PURPOSE

Helping People

Fundación Hispánica places people at the center. Their needs, projects, and concerns of potential beneficiaries are considered regardless of their occupation or origin.
